The National Association of Pipe Fabricators is pleased to announce that NSF International now serves as the independent third party inspector for the NAPF QualityPlus!TM Certification Program. No other organization offers NSF's breadth and thoroughness of product certification experience. NSF makes periodic inspections of our members' facilities to assure complete and total compliance with ANSI/AWWA C115/A21.15 "Flanged Ductile Iron Pipe with Ductile or Gray Iron threaded Flanges" and AWWA C606 "Grooved Ductile Iron Pipe". This inspection program assures engineers, specification writers and owners alike that fabricated piping bearing the NAPF/NSF certification label has been produced to conform to the highest industry standards.
Unlike in-house self-certifications, the NAPF's association with an independent third party certification organization, such as NSF International, has many advantages. First, and foremost, is the knowledge that each NAPF member company not only meet but must exceed the requirements set forth in the above referenced standards. Secondly, each member must also adhere to additional stringent requirements adopted by the NAPF Standards Council. Compliance with all phases of the NAPF QualityPlus!TM Certification Program is a condition of membership in the NAPF. THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR QUALITY! The addition of NSF to the NAPF QualityPlus!TM Certification team is your guarantee of quality products.

Commitment To Quality
While there are numerous fabricators of ductile iron pipe currently providing materials to the water and wastewater industry, what sets one apart from the others? It's membership in the National Association of Pipe Fabricators. Our members' commitment to maintaining highly trained management and shop personnel results in the highest quality products and service.
Conforming To Standards
The NAPF acknowledges that industry standards are necessary as a guide to quality fabrication. The standards adopted by the water and wastewater industry, and used by most specifying engineers, are those set forth by the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Members of the NAPF maintain positions on many of the committees responsible for formulating these industry standards.
Quality Plus!TM Certification Program
By providing periodic plant inspections, the QualityPlus!TM Certification Program assures that the fabricator is in total compliance with all applicable standards. Our audit of members' facilities also includes review of in-house quality assurance programs, general operations and interviews with shop and management personnel. The ability to produce quality fabrication is essential. Compliance with all phases of the Quality Plus Certification Program is required to maintain association membership.
Your Assurance
By specifying ductile iron pipe provided by a NAPF certified fabricator, engineers and owners are assured of quality ductile iron products. While the NAPF does not guarantee the actual quality of products, it does assure that our members are committed to producing quality materials meeting all applicable standards and specifications.
